Written by CEO & Founder, Toro Adeyemi After having worked with Hugh Locke in the promotion of his new book "The Haiti Experiment", we were invited to attend a dual book signing with his former foundation partner, Wyclef Jean. Hugh and Wyclef worked for years with Yele Haiti, an incredible foundation that has raised millions of dollars towards relief efforts in Haiti. The Haiti Experiment recounts the efforts made by Hugh to help the developing nation during its time of crisis, as well as details the road to recovery he believes is necessary to restore economic power and sustainability to the country. Hugh was introduced as Wyclef's new "Hype Man", gave some opening remarks about Yele Haiti and his work, and then Wyclef put on a lively and engaging show. It was a great time, and we are certainly fans of the music as well as the foundation. Check out information on The Haiti Experiment here, and reach out to info@toro-communications.com if you would like to coordinate an event. A round discussion with (from left) Hugh Locke, Wyclef Jean, and NBC reporters.

Written by CEO & Founder, Toro Adeyemi A Sunday show at the new Lilium venue, located in the basement of the W Hotel in Union Square? A chance to meet the featured artists, The Wild Boyz, and pick their brains on their craft? That's what we did Sunday night down in Manhattan where the city, of course, never sleeps. It would have been pretty hard to catch some Z's at any rate, considering the genre of music was electro house and EDM. Walking downstairs into the darkly furnished club space, there was a great crowd all there to enjoy the atmosphere, the music, and each other. Tables all around the space give a VIP feel that encourages everyone to have a good time. Looking to book? Contact us at info@toro-communications.com Follow The Wild Boyz here! Written by CEO & Founder, Toro Adeyemi Thursday was a trip to Washington DC to see critically acclaimed trance DJ Armin van Buuren. This was a great opportunity to become exposed to an unfamiliar genre of music. Opened by Jochen Miller, Armin's 3 hour set incorporated amazing visual effects that kept the show captivating and vitalizing. The people were great, the venue was great, and above all, the MUSIC was great! This artist is a must see. Check out details for A State of Trance 600 here. |
